These WWII Royal Air Force cotton string vests were constructed in the 1940s and are also referred to as “RAF Escape String Vests” because they doubled as an escape aid. If needed the vest could be unraveled and plaited to form a rope to aid escape. I mean, talk about a very thought-through design!!!

This all cotton vest features cotton shoulder straps and super stretchy chain stitch body.
